Spain Digital Nomad Visa 2025 Launched

Spain officially launched its Digital Nomad Visa. This new visa lets non‑EU/EEA nationals work remotely from Spain. You can now live in Spain and work for foreign clients or companies. The scheme also allows your eligible family members to join under certain conditions.

Spain hopes this visa will attract global talent. It wants to boost the economy and modernise how people live and work.

What Is the Spain Digital Nomad Visa?

The Digital Nomad Visa also called the Telework Visa is for people who work online. It allows you to legally reside in Spain while working remotely. You must work for a foreign company or foreign clients. You may be an employee or freelancer. Self‑employed workers may serve Spanish clients but that must be no more than 20% of your income.

Why Spain Introduced It

Spain wants to attract remote workers. Those workers bring income and cultural exchange. The country finished its Golden Visa in early 2025. The Digital Nomad Visa is now a faster more flexible way for people to come in. It helps remote workers especially in tech and marketing sectors.
